ATTENDING WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE WHEN I ARRIVE?

All people, ages and cultures are welcome to attend Alliance Community Church (or ACC as we’ll sometimes call it). Our services are on Thursdays at 7pm or Sundays at 9am and 11am. We invite you to come as you are. There is no dress code. When you arrive, you will be greeted by our team of friendly greeters who can direct you where you need to go. You can visit our CONNECT CENTRE as well to receive answers to any questions you may have.

Please feel free to bring your own tea/coffee/snacks into our main room for the service or help yourself to the tea/coffee that we provide (location indicated on our church layout image above).

Upon entering the church, you will be directed to our main room that we call a sanctuary. You may sit wherever you are most comfortable and are welcome to come and go throughout the service time to use the washroom or for any other health or personal reason.

Throughout the service you will be invited to sit and stand during different segments. You will hear announcements in regards to events and other goings on that are happening at the church. You will also receive a bulletin that indicates information for these events as well.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A WORSHIP SERVICE?

During the service you can expect to freely participate in our worship service. We sing modern Christian worship songs. CLICK HERE to explore our YouTube playlist that is weekly updated with the songs we will be singing. The lyrics will be up on the screen for your convenience and you are welcome to follow along or just observe and listen. Some participants will raise their hands in praise to Jesus.

AM I EXPECTED TO GIVE?

We regularly do what we call a giving moment. As a first time visitor, you are under no obligation to give to our church and the work that we do here. We believe this is the responsibility of those who are members of our ACC family and consider it their home. If at anytime you would like to know more about giving please contact us CLICK HERE to learn more. You are our guest and we invite you to just observe and enjoy your time spent together here with other believers and community members.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO HEAR IN THE SERVICE?

During the course of the service, one of the pastors (to get to know staff and pastors, CLICK HERE) will get up on stage and give a 25-30 minute sermon based on Scripture from the Bible. To view our list of beliefs, please CLICK HERE. If you do not own a Bible and would like to have one, please inquire at the CONNECT CENTRE. Once the sermon is over, a song will be sung and then the congregation will be dismissed.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS? IS THERE ANYTHING FOR THEM?

We offer Kids' Ministries from infant age to Grade 3 on Sunday mornings. PLEASE NOTE: there is no Kids' Ministries offered Thursday evenings. The children are invited to spend the service in with the adults.

We have a separate ministry dedicated to grade 4-6 on Wednesday’s after school. For more information about our Kids' Ministry CLICK HERE.

We have a dedicated group of volunteers who are yearly trained in safety practices and how to best care for each age group. We have student volunteers as well as 1-3 adult volunteers for each age group.

Upon arriving Sunday morning, you will be able to check your child into care with our Family Check In team (location indicated on our church layout image above). They will show you where your child will be placed and explain our number paging system to you.
